Getting found
Why starting today beats starting next year
Getting found takes time. A new website doesn’t show up overnight: Google has to get to know it, and links and reviews build up over time. Every month without a website is a month you’re not building anything.

Making a website can be quick. Getting found takes longer. That’s no secret, and it’s no reason to wait. If anything, it’s the reason to start now.
Why does getting found take a while?
Google first has to visit a new website and get to know it. According to Google, that visit can take anything from a few days to a few weeks (Google Search Central, 2026)¹. After that, Google still has to work out what your website is about and who it’s useful for.
How well known your business is online matters too. Google mentions, among other things, how many websites link to your business and how many reviews you have (Google Business Profile Help, 2026)². Links, mentions and reviews like that don’t appear in a week. They build up over time.
What does that build-up look like?
- Your website goes liveWith your own information: what you do, where and when.
- Your Google Business Profile is up to dateWith the same details as your website.
- Mentions and links can followOn other websites that write about your business.
AI assistants can only use what’s online, and that only starts on the day your website exists.
Is an older website automatically easier to find?
Not according to Google. Google’s own explanation of local rankings doesn’t mention a website’s age². What Google does mention is how many websites link to you and how many reviews you have. Those build up over time. That’s why starting sooner can help.

What we promise
What Google or an AI assistant answers isn’t ours to decide. It depends on the question. What we do is put your details online so search engines and AI assistants can find and read them. If your business fits the question, it can be part of the answer.
