Getting found
What does an AI say about your business?
People don’t just ask Google any more; they ask AI assistants. An assistant names the businesses it can read about online. If there’s nothing online about you, it names someone else, or it guesses.

“Which bakery in Manchester takes orders for birthday cakes?” People google that. Increasingly, they ask an AI assistant on their phone instead. The assistant goes looking for the answer in whatever it can find online.
What does it say without your website?
Not much. It knows very little about you, so it names another business it can actually read about. Or it says it doesn’t know. Sometimes it guesses, and the guess isn’t always right.
And with your website?
Then it can quote your own information. That you take cake orders. The cut-off time for ordering. And it can point to your website. Nobody can promise you a place in the answer. But without your own details online, the chances are slim.
Here’s the difference, side by side:
Example, all names made up
Someone googles ‘bakery Manchester’
Bakery A catches the eye first.
Your own details, with buttons to call and get directions.
Someone asks an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Gemini and the like)
The AI names Bakery B.
The AI can quote your own information.
An example of what an AI assistant might say. The actual answer depends on the question.

What we promise
What Google or an AI assistant answers isn’t ours to decide. It depends on the question. What we do is put your details online so search engines and AI assistants can find and read them. If your business fits the question, it can be part of the answer.
An AI assistant can only mention what it can read online.
