A customer with a leak or a broken boiler is in a hurry. They search “plumber Manchester” on their phone, glance at two or three firms and ring the first one that makes things clear. Your website has to say, within seconds: we come to you, this is what it costs, and this is how to reach us.
What customers look for in a plumber
- Help in an emergency. Your phone number at the top, the hours you can be reached and what an out-of-hours call-out costs. A website can’t answer the phone, but it makes ringing you easy.
- The area you cover. Do you come out to my town? Name the places you actually work in, and only those.
- A price up front. Call-out charge, hourly rate, a rough figure for a dripping tap. People who can see a price are happier to ring.
- Photos of your work. A new bathroom, a boiler fitted neatly. Your own work says more than any wording. Keep customers’ faces and house numbers out of shot.
- Credentials. If you’re registered with a trade body or hold a licence, such as Gas Safe in the UK or a state licence in the US, it goes on the page, with your number where that applies. Only what you actually hold: we ask you for the details and never make anything up.
Which package suits a plumber?
Shopfront (€39 a month) is plenty for most plumbers. You get a website of up to 5 pages with your rates, the area you cover, photos and contact details, and 2 changes a month, for a new rate, say. You don’t need a booking system: the customer rings or sends a message.
Counter (€59 a month) is for plumbers who cover several towns. You get a page for each town you actually work in, and we keep them up to date. That helps when customers search for their own town. We also keep your Google Business Profile up to date. Moving up from Shopfront later costs nothing extra: there are no set-up fees.
All prices are in euros and exclude VAT. Where VAT applies, it’s shown separately. Everything is on the price page.
What it looks like
This is the example for a made-up plumbing and heating firm in Manchester. At the top it shows whether the firm is open right now, that it can be reached for emergencies outside those hours too, a button to call and a link to send a photo on WhatsApp. The photo helps you see what’s needed before you set off. Below that: a tip on what to do yourself if there’s a leak, the rates under Prices, and the area covered. All names and numbers are made up.
What we do, and what we don’t
We set out your details so Google and AI assistants can read them properly. We don’t promise a top spot on Google; nobody can honestly promise that. Photos and credentials come from you. We make your example and send you the link as soon as it’s ready. Like it? Your website is live within 24 hours of you approving the final version.
Questions plumbers and heating engineers ask us
Do I have to put my rates on the website?
That’s up to you. Many customers go for the firm that names a price, because then they know where they stand. At the very least, show your call-out charge and hourly rate, and say whether prices include VAT or sales tax. For big jobs you can just say “free quote”.
Can my website show which towns I cover?
Yes. With Shopfront, your area goes on one page. With Counter, we make a page for each town you actually work in. We don’t make long lists of places you don’t cover.
Can a customer send me a photo of the problem?
Yes, if you’d like that. We put a button on your website that opens your own WhatsApp and asks for a photo. You reply to the message yourself.
